The silicon valley giant is facing a slowdown and down fall in its stock price because of poor decision making.

Apple, Inc. has stolen the show way too many times now; there is not a single person in the world that wouldn’t be aware of the new iPhones, iPad, MacBooks. The consumer market that tech giant has captured was definitely a win for the Silicon Valley star but same cannot be said for its stock this time round.

At the trading session on Wednesday, Apple Stock was hit quite hard trading at $115.38 which indicated a 2.5% decline in the share price in comparison to the previous trading session. However, today’s market as comparatively not as bad since the market was itself down on Wednesday. The problems due to which this occurred was because of the weaker shipments of iPhone 6S, the design segment has failed to work for the company and finally because of the setback that the service division has witnessed.

The first reason as to why the stock witnessed a decline was because of the design that it has to offer. Recently the Silicon Valley tech giant has introduced a new product which has features that collide with the features for which the firm is popular for. This new device is a Smart Battery Case with a price tag of $99 and is similar and expensive version of peripherals that other companies have offered in the past few years. The tech company introduced this because they knew that the iPhone 6 and iPhone S6 is not strong with its battery life and same can be said for the future of the iPhone 7.

A number of tech analysts and followers have commented on the new product and one of the articles by The Verve published in an article by the name of “What Happened to Apple Design?” called the case just “apologetically bad” for a company with apple’s level. The author of this article was Nick Statt who commented on the battery case. Nick, in his article further stated that, Steve Job’s work was very much focused on ‘attention to detail’ while now the products basically just indicated that because the engineers couldn’t do anything that better than what they did, so they just went with it.

Another person shared his view on the product and said that it was downright “butt-ugly” and the Wall Street Journal called it “fairly unsighted”. This news of the product came amidst the notion that the company was likely to see the growth stutter in its hardware business that’s mainly why the stock was hit so hard. IDC stated that smartphone market share is expected grow less than 10 percent this year which is even a worse news for Apple.
