Tesla Motors has impressed the rich people of Russia.

Tesla Motors was successfully able to lure the Russian elite class. This can be witnessed through its CEO Elon Musk’s unofficial social networking page that is followed by 100,000 Russians, as reported by Tesla news. One of Tesla’s Russian fans, a software executive, Andrey Vratskiy, was too much interested in exchanging his German vehicle, BMW X6, for a Tesla S worth $75,000 that he committed to pay almost twice for it.

Due to the non-existence of the automaker‘s selling network in Russia, the said fan had to purchase the sedan in the USA and disburse $12,000 to bring it to Moscow, where he had to disburse $50,000 to clear customs. When he first began to drive his ocean blue Tesla 24 months ago, he felt like frightened specie in the wild, confirms Tesla news today. Now he is moving around with many other members of the fan club he founded.

Head of USM advisors, Ivan Streshinskiy, has stated his fondness for gadgets and praised the car as pure gadget, such as an iPhone on wheels. He purchased a white Model S last summer and is interested in buying a red one. Commercial sources confirmed that a number of other Russians, including Andrei Akhimov, Roman Abramovich, and Herman Gref, also own Tesla’s vehicles.

For Herman, who worked as an economy minister for the Government headed by President Vladimir Putin, not even the American sanctions that created problems for his bank were able to stop him from appreciating the American machine. He stated that the vehicle does not pollute the environment and is very affordable and easy to use.

Experts are of view that the if Elon focuses on Russia as much as he gives to the People’s Republic of China , then he can easily annually sell 2000 Model X sports utility vehicles and 2000 Model S sedans in its market. Tesla Motors news affirmed that the company was able to earn global revenue of $1,100,000,000 in the first quarter; Russians spent the same figure on luxury vehicles in a five-month period starting from January to May.

Andrey and other club members wrote to the South African born entrepreneur’s organization that it should expand in the region, but they have always received the same answer that the country is not a priority. Tesla has stated that it does not supply vehicles in Russia, so it does not provide charging solutions, or warranty, and does not help to import its products legally.

Mr. Musk and his team should now formulate plans to formally launch the electric vehicles in the Russian market; otherwise, they would fail to benefit from a very lucrative automobile segment, which would consequently result in disappointment to many fans.
