The software company is currently working on a tactic according to which it will not be reporting Xbox sales to the investors from now onwards

Microsoft Corporation has announced that it will not be giving out details on the sales of the Xbox to the market anymore, according to a news article posted on Game Informer. The giant is currently working on presenting a whole new way to the users and investors to show them of the success that the gaming console has been enjoying with every passing day. The new technique that will now be used by the tech company to let the customers and interested audience know about the satisfactory sales of the product will be through Xbox Live, which is the giant’s new plan to be carried out in a couple of weeks. Even though analysts think that this might turn the investors off at some point, this tactic is sure to work along successfully with the strategies of the giant that it is observing to bring some huge changes within its infrastructure.

On the other hand, Microsoft business has always been rather too transparent about its gaming business to the investors, which has also improved sales with the passage of time, as per the belief of the market analysts. However, the giant is gradually working on disclosure activities which are going to give the market less information about how many products it really is selling. These new standards which are being implemented by the software company now are not being entertained by the curious analysts, investors and shareholders as they demand for a more transparent system to maintain their faith in the stock of the giant.

The sales figures that Microsoft management has been reporting to the industry have always been given out separately for Xbox One and Xbox 360 but for the past few quarters, the giant has started to give out one figure only, which is a combination of all the sales made by the tech company. However, the latest earnings report experienced something entirely new, as the news brokers did not let the investors know of the Xbox sales at all and that was entirely eliminated from the earnings report.

Instead of reporting the Xbox sales, the software company instead went ahead to inform the industry of the monthly active users of the gaming device, which reportedly increased by around 28% on a year over year basis. This percentage also covered the users which only logged in to the gaming software only once in the entire month. On the other hand, Xbox Live is the platform on which all the gamers interact and play games together which is going to help the shareholders and investors know of the success or failure being witnessed by the giant.
