Ford's union has threatened to launch a strike in Kansas City on Sunday due to an issue.

Ford Motors Company’s workers have warned the company. The entire automotive industrial sector was eyeing the voting exercise performed by the workers of Fiat Chrysler, but the leaders of the United Auto Workers stated on Tuesday that more than 7000 union members at the Henry founded enterprise’s Kansas City Assembly might launch a strike on Sunday if a local worker agreement is not signed. The factory is quite significant for Ford because it manufactures famous F-150 trucks.

Union’s leaders stated that the indefinite agreement extension endorsed on September 14, and the facility had been abandoned. Ford News stated that both parties have five days to reach a contract on a local pact, which is apart from the national contract being beaten out. National meetings with General Motors Company and Ford are under also consideration, while the labor body is attempting to ratify a proposed agreement with FCA.

Bargaining chairman for UAW Local 249, posted on the Facebook’s platform, “We have been unable to reach a fair local agreement with the Ford Motor Company after meeting over 40 times since April. The company refuses to address important issues around safety, seniority, and work force at KCAP. We feel we have no other choice at this point to reach a fair agreement.”

Ford News today reported that in addition to the F-150, the facility also manufactures transit vans. The Michigan-based enterprise also manufactures F-150s in Dearborn.

A strike of any level at the company’s 4,000,000 square-foot Kansas City plant would adversely affect the Dearborn vehicle manufacturer. The organization has just initiated the process of building inventory of its lucrative pickup after a tight supply due to changes in its aluminum model that created a problem for the bottom line in the year’s first quarter.

An official of the Industry & Labor Group, Kristin Dziczek stated, “You go after where the profits are being made”. According to Ford Breaking News, Vice President of Ford-UAW Department Jimmy Settles stated in an update to the membership on Tuesday that the automaker was given five-day notice and he had succeeded in receiving endorsement form the global union for a strike by Local 249.

Kristin stated that if two sides had progressed by Friday, then they would be able to ensure that the agreement is extended again, but an authorized strike was a significant step. It is probable that the union’s warning would not only play a significant role in damaging the company's image in the competitive market but also test the decision making abilities of its management.
