Facebook has launched a video button, which has replaced Messenger button, to test dedicated video feeds lately.

Facebook has taken an initiative to expand its portfolio. The network is utilized to watch videos; thus, currently it is testing its devoted Video Feed with exclusive stations for clips shown by friends, Pages liked by users, video clips they have saved or video already being viewed, and trending videos on Facebook.

Lately, the Messenger button has been replaced with the Videos button at the bottommost part of the iOS software’s home screen; nevertheless, the newly conducted test has been exposed to a small number of persons.

Facebook News revealed that the Videos Feed is able to create a “lean back, nonstop” watching experience, which supplements the abrupt views of clips available in the main News Feed. Users engage in the practice of scrolling down through the stations, and go through a variety of clips in each station. The social media company stated, “We can totally imagine bringing it other platforms like smart televisions.”

Facebook News today exclaimed that the Videos Feed is amalgamating other updates and tests, which the company has conducted over two years, such as an optional feature to save videos for later, suggested videos, etc. The social network giant has decided to develop its video expertise. It had succeeded in attaining 4,000,000,000 views each day in April, and has probably crossed 5,000,000,000 views in a time span of 24 hours now. Not only do gradually uploaded videotapes increase the social platform, but also they provide opportunities to slide in its lucrative video advertisements as ‘dollars move away from the television’.

Facebook Breaking news affirmed that the suggested video features have currently been launched out to several iOS users, and the company is working on editions for Android and Web. Test launching initiated in July 2014, but the update has a much more suited, full screen design now.

After a user views a clip from feed before leaving the cinematic background mode, he or she could scroll down to observe other auto-plays. The concept is to ensure that a bridge is established from an unforeseen search of a single video to a supported observing session.

By demonstrating connected videos, the social network could keep the users immersed in its most bright and possibly productive format. The company is also managing a pilot program where specific high quality video developers could earn a share of advertising revenue if their clip converts users to the suggested video.

The new payment model between advertisers and publishers has encouraged the video makers to contribute much.
