Tesla Motors Plans To Expand In Japan

Tesla Motors has decided to expand in a country where its infrastructure has failed to appease the buyers of Model S.

The American electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla Motors, has decided to expand itself. Tesla news reported that the automaker is interested in conquering the market of Japan, a country in which its infrastructure has failed to appease the Japanese buyers of Model S. Therefore, it has planned to establish eight new service centers in the region and increase its charging stations in the third largest economy by the end of the year.

Tesla news today affirmed that the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has appreciated the organization’s Model S. In April, the Government’s head rode along with Mr. Musk in one of the vehicles. The chief executive officer benefitted from the opportunity to talk to Premier regarding the prospects of electric cars and his plans to develop parking lots with chargers in the country.

Tesla’s users can only benefit from one service center in the Japanese territory located in Yokohama. The high tech company is currently managing six super chargers in the country. One of those can be seen at its maintenance center, while the rest of them are located in a number of cities, including Kobe, Osaka, and Tokyo. The latest servicing premises would be built in Osaka and Aichi.

Experts believe that the South African born entrepreneur’s organization would need to make efforts to dominate the competitive Japanese market. The Yokohama-based organization, Nissan Motor Corporation Ltd., might give a tough time to the electric automobile pioneer, as it is about to launch a powered vehicle with a range of more than 200 miles.

Nissan’s CEO, Carlos Ghosn, has stated that the new car would be able to cover a distance of more than 400 kilometers on a single charge. It is expected that the difference between the tastes of the American and Japanese users would add to the difficulties of the automaker. Tesla Motors news reported that in 2016, the automaker would release its Model X in the country.

Industry experts believe that if the business succeeds in expanding its network in the South East Asian region, then its sales would not only increase but also its reputation would improve in the high-tech world. It has not maintained an impressive record in the People’s Republic of China, where its sales staff had misinformed users.

Tesla's plans to strengthen itself in the Asian region would send a threatening message to its rivals who might be forced to follow its footsteps. In order to strive towards success, it needs to ensure that such mistakes are not repeated in Japan, where its rivals are ready to take advantage of such actions. Its management should now take steps to expand its networks in the best possible manner to address the concerns of its Japanese customers.
