The American multinational technology giant has tied up with the high-tech cloud storage company.

The American multinational technology giant, International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation has tied up with the high tech cloud storage company, Box. IBM news informed that both organizations have collaborated to increase each other’s sales in the corporate world. The partnership, set to be proclaimed on Wednesday, will permit Box users to benefit from the storing ability of the corporation’s SoftLayer cloud network.

Company sources have reported that IBM mobile applications will deliver its partner’s services through a number of Apple’s devices, such as iPads and iPhones. The cloud storage company’s facilities would be provided with the corporation’s safety and content management tools. 

IBM news today reported that its management seeks this collaboration as a kind of blueprint where enterprise technology is going to move. It is expected that a time span of 12 months would be required to build Box into the high-tech corporate giant’s platform. Contrary to that, IBM could immediately integrate other company’s service into custom software.

IBM breaking news affirmed that Box is known for helping its users store, share, and collaborate on documents. It has succeeded in luring more than 37,000,000 users. Furthermore, it has been able to introduce a series of services targeted at a number of vertical markets, including entertainment, retail, and health care.

The storage company’s chief executive officer, Aaron Levie, has stated that the tie up would help Box to expand its customer base across the globe. He added that the corporation’s data centers in 17 states would let the organization serve international companies that have not been legally authorized to export customer data.

IBM is currently suffering from a decline in sales revenue. Experts stated that the collaboration would allow the corporation to revive as a cloud services firm. Media sources have informed that Box had also announced to work with Microsoft Corporation. Both companies had announced a deal that would let their customers to benefit from the ability to edit offline/online files in Box.

Industry experts believe that the cooperation between the corporation and the storage solutions company would not only let the company regrow, but also improve its reputation in the highly competitive world. It is probable that the joint efforts of the two companies would appease a significant number of users.
