Facebook has introduced a new advance feature for 'under-privileged' users.

The American social network, Facebook, has introduced a new high-tech feature, Facebook Lite, as reported by Facebook news. The recent update has been designed to work with outdated phones and slow networks.

Facebook news today informed that the latest product is a low-resolution version of the company’s Android application. It is expected that Lite would use much lesser amounts of data than its conventional modern phone application.

Market sources have revealed that the technologically advanced update is specially pioneered to satisfy the platform’s users in the developing world. It does not offer information intensive features, such as Nearby Friends or videos. Facebook breaking news affirmed that the users of Lite would be permitted to access the platform in a quick, smooth, and affordable manner.

Facebook Lite’s product manager, Vijay Shankar, has stated that the management realized a year ago that it should work to address the concerns of its emerging markets, where networks are operating inefficiently. He added that the organization has researched to discover the problems suffered by its users in India, Indonesia, and Africa, and highlighted three issues.

The company discovered issues including the need to work on Android device regardless of storing capacity, Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Random Access Memory (RAM) to speed up the process of loading through second-generation connections, and employment of low volumes of data.

To employ less data, the platform never preloads full resolution pictures. The network’s photos and link preview appear a little grainy. If users volunteer, then they can improve the appearance of those features. Experts stated that the new addition will not only speed up web surfing but would also improve the company’s reputation in the global world as well.

The launch of the new product is not the only step taken to meet the needs of the residents of the developing world. The service provider has recently introduced its big Internet.org update to permit 5,000,000,000 people to access the web. It is disclosed that initiative has been taken in collaboration with telecommunication service providers.

Facebook is known as one of the biggest online network giant in the world. People use it to communicate and share information, detail, and content with others. Industry experts believe that if Lite is launched in an efficient manner, then it would definitely attract a large number of users towards the social network. The networking organization should now take control to effectively introduce the update and refrain from any steps that might fail to impress its customers in the underdeveloped world.
