Tesla Motors and SunEdison Australia would jointly supply Powerwall.

Tesla Motors has taken an initiative to address the concerns of power consumers in Australia. The automaker has teamed up with SunEdison Australia to launch its battery Tesla Powerwall for its customers in the country. As per reports of Energy Matters, this collaboration agreement would let the renewable power firm become one of the primary organizations across the globe to supply the Powerwall home battery system.

A source reported, “The first Tesla Powerwall 7KWH units will arrive on our shores in November this year; heralding the real start of Australia’s residential energy storage solution.” The tie up between the two high-tech companies is a good update for the country’s solar power system owners who are interested in distancing themselves from the power supplying system, as they tend to prefer power independence and renewable electricity supplies.

Tesla news affirmed, “The 7kWh daily cycling Powerwall is a compelling option for Australian residential solar users.” The renewable power company stated that it would rejoice the entrance of the power storage device with a rivalry – the major award being one of the power storing systems. Initially, only the 7 kilowatt-hour day-to-day edition of the product would be launched, though it has been anticipated that 10 kilowatt-hour would be offered in early 2016, as disclosed by Energy Matters.

Tesla news today disclosed that Tesla Energy’s spotless power storing product is a wall attached, re-chargeable lithium-ion battery with liquid thermal control that provides a 92% round –trip DC efficiency, 8.6-amp peak output, 3.3 kilowatt continuous / peak power and 5.8-amp nominal output. The weight of a single device is 100 kilograms and size is 1300mm × 860mm × 180mm. Several 7 kilowatt-hour batteries could be fitted with a total capacity of 63 kilowatt-hour.

Tesla Motors news revealed that the energy company has stated it also aims to offer innovative storage features from a number of other important manufacturing organizations, including Fronius and Emphase Energy, as they are offered.

Automotive Industry analysts have claimed that the electric vehicle pioneer’s collaboration with SunEdison Australia would not only improve its image in the highly advanced world but also threaten the interests of its rivals. It is probable that the Australian authorities would welcome the partnership, as it would contribute to the growth of their economy in the long term.

Tesla should co-operate with the energy company to dominate the competitive market to maximize its market share and sales revenue. Corporate giants usually team up to attain their goals. Similarly, the electric carmaker is also following the trend of integrated marketing to prosper in the automobile sector. The high cost of electricity in Australia provides the opportunity to capitalize in this market. Solar feeds in tariffs have also contributed to its demand.
